In an effort to increase pet adaptation awareness, Fresh Step is offering fee-waived cat adoptions at the Amanda Foundation through Oct. 30 in support of the brand’s mission to help every shelter cat find a forever home. Those in the LA area are invited to visit the shelter at 351 Foothill Rd, Beverly Hills, CA 90210 and take a photo in front of the #CatLuv mural.
As an added bonus, anyone who takes a picture of their cat love and posts it on their social media using the #CatLuv and #contest, will automatically be entered in a contest where the winner will receive $500 and a 10,000 Fresh Step Paw Points donation to a shelter of their choice. You will have to enter by November 15, 2017, to be eligible to win.
YouTubers/digital magicians Zack King and Aaron Beneitz, along with muralist Goldcrown, and celebrity cat Prince Michael were in attendance at the launch of the campaign. King even released a brand new video featuring himself and Prince Michael that not only displayed King’s magic but also emphasized the magic of the relationship between man and feline.
We were at the launch and spoke to King and Beneitz who spoke on their partnership with Fresh Paws. King admits that a lot of the videos he does is for fun, he shared that this latest campaign is important because of the mission of getting the word out to adopt. Fresh Step and the Amanda Foundation are really in the trenches to change the course of some cats lives. He enjoyed getting involved with a project that has a little bit more heart.
“I would love to see people adopt not just the cute kittens but go in for older cats and give them a chance,” said King. “they are needing a second chance at life so it would be great to see more of them helped as well not just the kittens.”
“This is a win for everyone,” said Benetiz. “It’s great that Fresh Step is working to bring awareness to cats, we also feel like we have a different demographic, there’s a stereotype that cats are more for women, so we are happy to be guys who also love cats and enjoy the companionship of cats.”
