We’d like to wish all of our readers a Happy Mother’s Day. We hope that you are surrounded by the ones you love and are treated like a queen! =)
What would your perfect Mother’s Day entail? A nice brunch with the family? A spa treatment? Here’s what the That’s IT Mommy team is hoping for tomorrow! After reading their responses I realized that they all need some R&R!
Kelly, D.C. Mom: Some peace and quiet and time to myself. My husband has been gone for 3 weeks, I’ve been on “mom duty” 24/7 with no breaks. I’m exhausted!! A nice relaxing facial would be great too!
Courtney Co, Mom: I want what I always ask for but never get- one day with everyone behaving and getting along! Because I know I won’t get that (never do), I bought myself a cover for my Kindle which is a gift in itself because it makes me take time for myself to read a little every night before bed.
Jessica, MA Mom: I want running stuff! I asked Tim for one of the Bondi Bandz that we reviewed. I also really need an arm band for my iPod. Other than that, I love the handmade gifts the kiddos make! ♥
Erika Souza, MA Mom: I love my family but I am exhausted! A massage, a facial and then maybe a nice dinner would be amazing!!
Erin, FL Mom: I would love a weekend at Disney…without my kids! I’d love to be able to go to EPCOT and watch all the movies from every country, and see all the performances, without my girls wanting to run to the nearest ride. And if I could put off my wish until EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival in the Fall, I’d truly be the happiest mom in the world!
Jill, NY Mom: A spa treatment sounds perfect to me! And some loose teas since a cup of tea is a gift that gives me a break every day.
Tee, L.A. Mom: I would love a new cell phone! My iPhone 3G freezes and shuts off so I can’t rely on it in the case of an emergency! I’m spending the day with my family at Disneyland so I couldn’t ask for anything better. Family + Mickey Mouse = FUN on Mother’s Day. Can’t wait.
Lastly, I’d like to take his time to honor my mother, Kwang “Jeanie” O’Connell. My mother passed away twelve years ago of Pancreatic Cancer. I participated in the Pancreatic Network walk this morning in her memory. She was a beautiful and strong woman who is missed dearly. Not a day has gone by where I don’t think of her. Love you mom! I wish things were different and we could celebrate Mother’s Day tomorrow but you will be forever in my heart. – Tee
