Seventeen years later, I return to Magic Kingdom as an adult, a mom and a wife, but on the inside I still feel like that happy little girl running through the park. Back then my favorite rides were It’s A Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion. I must admit I still love all three rides!
So much has changed in Magic Kingdom since my childhood visits, but I still have tons of photos to remember the park as it still exists in my heart and mind. Some of my most cherished items are the pictures of my happy, smiling family posing in front of the Cinderella Castle and on the Electric Parade route.
I still love to take pictures and the Parks thoughtfully map out the best photo opportunities for families to make their own photo memories. At the top of my list is the Magic Kingdom Castle.
My top 5 Magic Kingdom photo picks are:
1. The Castle
Capture the beauty of the four story high castle, its spiraling towers and surrounding moat. It just takes my breath away every time. Rumor has it that the castle was inspired by the actual Castle Neuschwanstein in Germany.
2. Be Our Guest restaurant
This trip was my first time and everything from the entrance, to the grand ball room, to the Gray stuff was photo perfect! You must have a reservation to enter the restaurant. It’s a must do for your visit, so plan ahead. Lighting can be a challenge, so play around with your settings. I do try to avoid using flash. The photos end up looking flat, and it’s annoying to the other guests.
3. Rapunzel’s Tower
Another first time visit for me, and I left impressed. The tower looks just like it did in the animation. I resisted the urge to climb the tower to reenact the ‘Rapunzel, throw down your hair’ scene.
