As the temperatures get colder and the Halloween decorations get put away, you begin to think about shopping for Christmas. Like everyone else, you also begin to realize your Christmas shopping list has grown from last year. Your budget, however, may not be growing at the same pace, so you’re going to have to to start searching for the best deals on the products you know everyone on your list will want. Knowing where and when to shop can help you save a lot of money while still buying great products. You can start by shopping in stores using layaway plans, shopping online, and signing up for savings programs. You’re going to love the savings you get when you use these methods.
Shop Using Layaway Programs
Many stores have already started offering layaway programs for Christmas so you can save on the purchases made in their store. Look for programs which allow you to purchase now and pick up right before Christmas. You can even find programs which allow you to save money based on adding savings onto the purchases you’ve made. As Christmas sales pick up steam, you can talk with the business to see if the savings can be applied to the purchases you’ve made. In many cases, they will honor the difference in price when you’re making the final payments on your layaway purchases.
Shopping Online
When you purchase online, you can find a number of ways to save. Best of all, you can make a purchase and request it to be sent out at a certain time. This ensures the purchase you make will be sent at exactly the right time to get to the recipient in time for Christmas. One wonderful way you can save on your online purchases is to buy them using something like Kohls promo codes free shipping offers. Apply the code when making your purchase, and you’ll get a great deal as well as free shipping. If you can add the free shipping to purchases on deep discount from a Cyber Monday sale, you’ll reap the rewards from your savings.
Signing Up for Savings Programs
Setting yourself up for savings is another great way to make sure you can save on Christmas purchases. Signing up for things like store credit cards or shopper rewards programs enables you to get the kinds of savings not available to the public. Typically, you’ll receive the discount notice in your inbox. You may receive codes or special offers which make it possible for you to get the products you want from your favorite stores. Be careful if you sign up to receive a store credit card. You may not want to use it for purchases as the high interest rate could negate any kind of savings you receive. Instead, use the savings you receive at the cash register when you sign up for the card, and destroy it as soon as you receive it.

Awesome post!
I already do some of these things 🙂 Kohl’s always has great coupons and deals.
You can use Ebates.com, too, for all your online shipping to get $ back!
I have never tried layaway, but I imagine I would when I have kids.
Thanks for the great info!
This is a great post!!! I love Kohl’s! When Mya was a toddler I would get the best outfits for her from their Jumping Beans line for as low as $1.80 per piece!!!
I love shopping online!!
Great post! I agree and think that signing up online for newsletters is a great way to get discounts. Also I agree with Jasmine, we get Jumping Beans seperates from Kohl’s for pumpkin and they are soooo cheap! It’s awesome for getting essentials!
