Traveling with kids can be more than a little stressful. I find it even more difficult now that my 3.5 year old won’t go in her stroller. This makes it so hard when traveling by plane. The airport is always crowded with long lines. It can be overwhelming for a child but it isn’t always easy to carry them while you are digging for your boarding pass and everything else! Plus they get heavy! I have found the perfect solution for the child who has outgrown their stroller but still needs somewhere to take a seat while waiting in long lines- Melissa and Doug’s Trunki. As I am sure most of you know Melissa and Doug is a great company that has a large assortment of great quality toys!
The Trunki is a lightweight, carry-on sized (18.25”x8.63”x12”) suitcase that doubles as a riding toy for kids (it holds up to 100 lbs)! I was lucky enough to win a Trunki of my choice at a Melissa and Doug Twitter Party (You should check out the next twitter party if you haven’t already-Great Prizes and Fun). My daughter instantly chose the Trunki Ruby which looks like a lady bug and is the most popular Trunki. There are six choices and color combinations so every girl and boy is sure to find one they love. They retail for $39.99 which is very reasonable!
As soon as the Trunki arrived my daughter hopped on and rode it around the house all night! She actually asked us when we could go to the airport. So I guess you could say she liked it! Once she saw that it was a suitcase it became the perfect storage for her assorted princess dresses and accessories. I was impressed with the amount that it held! Another of my favorite features is the included strap that you can use to pull your child with. It can also be used by your child to pull the suitcase if they choose not to ride it. Accessories for the Trunki include a saddlebag which comes in color coordinating padded fabric that can act as a cushioned seat with extra storage or it can carried as a shoulder bag. I am definitely going to be purchasing one of these for Adeline’s Trunki! You can also purchase fun stickers that kids can use to decorate their Trunki.
I have not been lucky enough to test this out in the airport but hopefully we can soon. Until then Adeline has a great ride on toy and adorable storage for all of her favorite things.

This looks great for my granddaughter. She’ll be travelling a lot this summer and needs a sturdy suitcase. This looks like a great solution!
I love the colorful design. So fanciful. And any way to entice my daughter carry her own stuff the better, especially in the airport!
