Disney family.com offers fantastic resources for families! Recipes, crafts and ideas that any mom and dad can pull off! You’ll also find a cool series of fun webisodes called “The Possibility Shop”, that happens to be in its third season! The Possibility Shop is hosted by Courtney Watkins who encourages families to explore bright ideas big or small.
Teagan and I joined Courtney Watkins for a The Possibility Shop event at Jim Henson Studios. How exciting is that?? The Jim Henson Company produces the show. I’m a fan of anything that is associated with Jim Henson and we were so lucky to be a part of this night! The evening was creative and yummy and focused on camping. The kids made shadow puppets with pencils, construction paper and glue! They also turned ordinary flashlights into “fire”! Simple everyday products around your home or junk drawer can be transformed into just about anything. My daughter’s favorite part of the evening was mixing Golden Grahams, chocolate chips and mini-marshmallows into her own s’mores mason jar.
Courtney Watkins is an illustrator, teacher, mom and TV personality. She opened her own possibility shop in her kitchen pantry when she was eight years old. Her mom always encouraged Courtney’s creativity. I love Courtney’s “can do” attitude. She reminds me of my husband. He encourages my family to explore how we can make things happen before we even consider saying “no”.

What a great site! I was on the computer with my 2.5 year old and felt the site might be geared for older kids, but there are so many wonderful ideas for parents! A lot of fun recipes and arts and crafts!
