thatsITmommy supports music. We feel it is one of the most valuable experiences children can have. The skills, knowledge and confidence built playing and studying music can be easily connected to any other discipline. Music is math, science, physical education, philosophy, medicine and plain old fun rolled into one. It always sickens us when the first programs cut from our educational system are the arts. So please check out this upcoming event:
Rock the Kids Music Scholarship Fund, raises money to provide music lessons to kids that would otherwise have to go without. They are hosting a St. Patrick’s Day concert at the Colony Theatre, featuring some of hottest youth rock bands in the area.
Tom Kenny, the voice of Spongebob Squarepants will be your emcee for Shamrockin’ the Kids, a St. Patrick’s Day Rock and Roll Concert held at the Colony Theatre to benefit the Rock the Kids Music Scholarship Fund
…and we want you all to come.
Please plan to join us as Neighborhood Rock School & area businesses host a night of rock and roll fun featuring some of the area’s coolest youth rock and roll bands. The show runs from 6:30 – 9pm; but join us for pre-party in the lobby starting at 5:00. Pizza, taquitos, beer & wine, sodas, snacks & treats make it sure fire hit with parents & kids alike!
Tickets go on sale at today at your Neighborhood Rock School starting at $5 for children and $10 for adults…and all proceeds will be
donated to the Rock the Kids Music Scholarship Fund to help make music education and its benefits available for every child.
You can call Neighborhood Rock School to purchase tickets at 818.557.7723 – or stop by at 2602 N. Glenoaks Blvd, Burbank; but hurry because they are sure to go fast for this special event.
