Two of Teagan’s loves are building with blocks and playing with trains. Especially the train named Thomas (is that a given?). Luckily, there’s a toy that combines her two loves. This is why Mega Bloks’ Sodor Search and Rescue by Mega Bloks is a big hit with my daughter.
Mega Bloks contacted us and we gladly accepted their offer to review The Sodor Search and Rescue set. The set has 48 pieces and includes two buildable characters. Every piece, including the container, is a crucial part of the scene! Thomas and Harold are busy at work on Sodor. Thomas whips around the tracks while Harold lands safely on the Helipad. Kids can use their imagination and building skills to design different paths for Thomas. What I love about this toy is that the parts can be stowed away in it’s own container for easy storage. This Mega Bloks set kept Teagan engaged for a long time and each play session has been quite an adventure for her.
We own a few other Mega Blok toys. Our collection consists of a few of the Yo Gabba Gabba sets plus the Mega Bloks Classic Bag (80pc). The Classic Bag is one of the first building blocks sets Teagan played with when she was around 1 years old. The large blocks helped encourage her fine motor skills and it was the perfect learning and building toy for her little hands. She’s 3.5 now and she still plays with this set!
