Teagan loves to build and stack blocks. What child doesn’t like to imagine, build, knock them over and start building again? Blocks are a staple in every kid’s toy box. Teagan recently got a set of CitiBlocs. CitiBlocs are natural, lightweight, eco-friendly wood pieces packed neatly into a small box (make sure you keep it for storage). They are easy to handle and Teagan immediately started to build! We received the 52 piece starter set ($14.99). I think we’ll need to invest in more. She tries to use all 52 in all of her architectural adventures. Their largest set has 1000 pieces!
This toy is definitely kid friendly and every member of your family will want to use them. This would be a fun toy to bring on those trips away from home. We usually bring a board game but I’ll be sure to pack CitiBlocs for our next getaway. The set comes with a sheet of suggested construction ideas and we’ve replicated many of the designs. We’ve created spirals, towers, helicopters and we’ve even tried a “dominos line”. There’s no right or wrong play. Teagan loves to knock them over as much as she likes to build.
CitiBlocks are non-toxic, free of glue and paints and there is not a single thing to snap or connect. Plus, NO BATTERIES! I love the pinewood and the simplicity. They’re not high tech but they are engaging. CitiBlocs foster high tech thinking! Teagan is very proud of her creations and like I said I think we need to invest in more blocks. We’re always reaching for one more block to match our big ideas! You can’t go wrong with an affordable toy that builds upon creativity, problem solving and encourages family participation!
