I never thought about asking movers if they are bonded or insured. The worst part of moving is cleaning the old place when all you really want to do is unpack everything at the new place!

I like that they give you moving quotes, and I hate the unpacking and cleaning house part of moving.
The editorial on moving with kids was an eye opener. Great points made there. The worst part of actually moving though is the packing. Who knew we had so much “junk” in every drawer. Things you haven’t seen in years. Things from broken items. At least it’s a good time for a clean sweep of the house. Love the site and keep up the great work.

i visited cable mover and it said time warner was my provider, i liked the site but i worried by putting in my address I would end up getting a lot of ads and junk mail. Worst part of moving is loading and unloading boxes

I like all the interesting tips they have on the site…I think it’s especially great that they had tips on how to avoid moving scams because someone I know got scammed and lost a good portion of her belongings…

I learned more about container moving (something I’d like to try the next time we move) and while some people just move their entire homes, you could also use it to move select items if you need the space to “stage” your home or to get seasonal items that you won’t need for awhile out of the way.
My least favorite part about moving is the un-packing. I think I still have a few un-packed boxes in the basement from our last move. 😉

This is so PERFECT for today!! I just got done helping family move ALL DAY LONG – and can totally complain about the worst part of moving – No problem!! Lol. The worst part of moving is when you go to help someone at their house, and they are NOT PACKED YET!!!! Uggghhhhh!! And of course, doing it in the heat or the rain!

I like the 5 tips on saving money on moving costs although I don’t think I could go along with the DIY move. It’s just too stressful! I don’t like packing boxes. I am just not that well organized to know how to keep like things in the same box.

The thing I hate most about moving is packing and keeping my beautiful china pieces from breaking in the move. Cables from electronics are another booger to deal with as well. Thanks for info on The Cablemover.

It would be so nice to use cable mover when I move next March… one less hassle! I don’t mind packing everything when moving, but it’s the unpacking that kills me. HATE it!

I learned that you should pare down before you move. I like the idea of having a garage sale and getting the kids involved. They would sure like the extra money for the road trip back East. I don’t like cleaning up after all the packing but that’s part of the process.

I liked the tips of ecofriendly packing. I hate packing.
I like their idea of replacing remotes with a universal remote instead of packing and finding a zillion remotes. I don’t like all the packing tape that sticks to itself instead of your boxes when you move.

I like that just from their site, I can get a quote that easy! No phonecalls. What I hate most about moving is feeling so unorganized. Nothing is ever in the box I thought it was in and it’s exhausting.
