What’s in store for March? Music! Our Q&A will be with a talented singer/songwriter and we’ll review musical toys, events, and apparel.
But before we say goodbye to February, ThatsITmommy and friends would like to share our children’s favorite plushes with you. Did you have a favorite doll or stuffed animal growing up? Is your child attached to a particular toy? Please feel free and share what toys your child holds close to their heart.
Tee & Teagan.
I remember my many dolls, especially my pink Monchichi style monkey. I actually still have her. Stuffed friends offer security, comfort and friendship. I love the memories and photographs of me as child with my toys. Teagan has a diverse group of plushes. She’s definitely taken to Kiera of Monster Factory but I’d have to say her favorites are her Yo Gabba Gabba plushes. Particularly the large pillow sized Brobee and Foofa. She loves watching TV with them, lying around with them. I’ve even taken naps on them! They’re so soft. They were a gift for Teagan. I heard that RITE AID was selling them!
thatsITmommy friend Heather shares Kieran’s favorite toy with us.
Kieran was given this mini-Basil Bla Bla doll before she was born (www.blablakids.com). It quickly became her go-to comfort toy, and she has slept with her “sleepy bunny” almost every night. With our family’s impending new addition, her Bla Bla has also acted as a stand-in for her new baby brother (swaddling, bottles, diaper changes and all!). Here is a recent picture of the two of them:
thatsITmommy friends Erika and Adeline.
When Adeline turned two in October her favorite movie was Monsters Inc. It was the first movie that held her attention. So for her birthday I searched for anything Monster’s Inc related. The only thing that I could find was a huge Sully plush from the Disney store. So of course I bought it for her. To my delight this became one of Adeline’s favorite things. She loved it. She still loves him. He is so big and soft and cuddly that she lays on him when she was watches TV. A new favorite is putting Sully on her potty so he can learn too! He is too big to sleep with or drag around all the time but this doesn’t stop Adeline from loving him more than all the others.

Loved this review! It is so cute that she is holding her arm up just like Sully 🙂
Definitely Adeline and Sully have been a pair since they first met…Needless to say – they are learning lots of things together….I hope he gets potty trained along with her!
I had a really big stuffed Grover when I was little. I have no idea what happened to it, but my friend Nelson had one, too, so later on, we would search for them at garage sales and thrift stores. Finally he found a “vintage” Grover. Meanwhile, I found a new giant Grover at the Sesame Street store in Portland in the ’90s! My boys are really attached to their trains & cars. They even sleep with them : )
I had a Snoopy.
