The all new PBS Kids Dinosaur Train Nature Tracker Adventures Camp premiered this week. The hour long episode takes kids and families on four new outdoorsy adventures along side everyone’s favorite Pteranodon family.
Kids will love following Buddy, Shiny, Tiny and Don in four exciting new stories as they travel to different ecosystems and learn about erosion, tree lines, rainforests and canyons. I watched the screener with my 4 year old preschool class and they loved it! It was also a great way to incorporate a little bit of nature as we were stuck inside with below freezing temps.
I also printed out a Nature Tracker Calendar and Nature Tracker Club Membership forms for my class. The Nature Trackers Club is a community of young children, their families and educators committed to learning about nature and doing good things for their environment. Nature Trackers enjoy exploring and having adventures, respecting their environment, collecting things, tracking and observing plants and animals, and challenging themselves to get outside and make discoveries every day. My goal is to incorporate the resources provided on PBS Kids website into my class room. The calendars provides some super challenges for each month. This week we will be Forecasting the Weather.
