Despite the fabulous weather we tend to have here in Southern California, it’s difficult for me to take my two kids (ages 2 and almost-5) by myself to the park. My little guy loves to run the opposite direction of his big sister…always! It becomes a very stressful morning for me trying to keep them both corralled (and, out of the street)! It’s for this reason that I like to know of all the indoor play places in the neighborhood. It gets us out of the house and keeps them always within my line of sight.
This past weekend I took the family to the Grand Opening festivities at the new Kidville in Brentwood, CA. It gives my mind great ease to know they are playing in a secure environment that they also love!
The play area had a long, cushioned trampoline, a foam pit, an obstacle course, two sets of bars (individual and uneven bars), a basketball hoop, a ladder, a rock wall and more! There is also a spacious craft/activity room and a room to “rock out” in with their band, The Rockin’ Railroad. We enjoyed a concert of both original and cover songs (I was partial to their cover of Katy Perry’s “Firework”). And what kids’ concert would complete without bubbles?
Not to be forgotten, they have a kids salon, where you can get their haircut while sitting in a pink or blue Cadillac, or just styled (Kieran chose hot pink hair spray) while you’re there. A Glitter Tattoo Artist (available for parties) was also there to showcase her skills.
VisIT: For details on their programming and class offerings, birthday parties and more, visit their website or stop by at 11740 San Vicente Blvd. Suite 107, Los Angeles, CA 90049. You can also give them a call at 310-909-8959. If you live in the LA area and are pregnant, they are hosting a “Bump Beauty & Style: Expectant Mom’s Night Out” event on May 30th that sounds really fun! This looks like a lot of fun, I know a lot of kids who would be in heaven in a place like this with plenty of mats, foam, trampolines mixed in with art, music and other activities to enjoy!
