Business cards are a must for bloggers. Actually, they are a must for any profession. Ordering new business cards has been on the top of my list for quite a while now. I am a graphic designer, as well as a blogger and I have to admit that I have a problem- I am overly critical of everything that I create for myself! This is why I love sites such as Minted. They offer indie-designed business cards that can be personalized with font choices and colors. Some cards allow you to add your own images or logos to the cards.
It’s clear to me that Minted offers cute styles. But what’s my issue now? Narrowing down a design! Browsing the Minted selection shows tons of fresh and trendy cards. You can select cards by profession, style or price that will hopefully simplify the selection process. I lean towards the simplistic yet bold designs. Previewing the card with your information is helpful in visualizing what the card will look like.
Here are my faves:
21st Century Girl Business Cards
I love the font but wish this card had more space for detailed contact information.
Playroom Business Cards
Do you think this card screams TEE?? As a blogger I think it’s important to put a face to the name. I also like the handwritten font on this card. That font gives this card a personalized feel.
Initial Love Business Cards
I like the large script initial font. This card looks professional and classy.
Botanic Business Cards
This might be my favorite card. The square shape is different and I can fit tons of information on it.
Two other cards that caught my eye are the World Traveler Business Cards and Play Date card. I just started a travel blog and this would be the perfect card. For now I’d like a card where I can combine projects. The Play Date card is adorable! I can’t tell you how many times my daughter hit it off with another child while we were out and about. We could’ve passed out these cards at the park or museum!
Save your designs if you need to look at them at a later time. Seeing the front and back of the card is a nice option and you can even zoom in for a closer look at your cards. Minted presents three paper stocks and I have to add that the site is user-friendly and the prices are competitive. Your business card is an extension of your first impression and I feel that Minted will help you achieve that goal.
Minted offers greeting cards, party supplies, invitations (and much more) in addition to business cards. Visit their site here for more information- http://www.minted.com/

I love the look of the Playroom Business Card. I think that one was the most memorable to me. Plus, I love that pic of you! Second choice is the Botanic Business Card. The fonts are great. I do like the square, but I think the problem with that is if someone wanted to put that in their wallet, it might not fit just right!
I love the Playdate card. What a great idea!
While I love the look of the square cards for their originality and design. I wouldn’t use them for a business simply because they are square. They won’t fit in easily with a stack of cards and may get tossed out just for that reason.
I like having a face on the card for identification I think its very helpful during conferences. That being said the 2nd and 3rd choices are my two favorits.
Having a past life in the advertising world, I love how business cards have evolved from boring white stock with black letters – the more unique, the better, I say!
The World Traveler business card caught my eye. Great design that clearly communicates all the important info. So many more ways to reach folks these days…
