When Adeline started preschool in September I searched for all the best back to school products. I came across Snack Taxi and I instantly knew we needed to include them in her back to school items. Snack Taxi is a Western Massachusetts based company that makes darling reusable snack and sandwich bags.
The company was started by Erin Kelly-Dill, mom of 3, when she realized that she was using 500 disposable sandwich baggies a year! She knew she needed to do something and put her love of sewing to use and created these washable, reusable bags. The bags are just large enough for a sandwich or a large snack. Kelly’s company grew quickly and she soon needed help keeping up with the demand after she was featured on Oprah Winfrey’s Earth Day Episode.
Erin was generous enough to send a snack sack and a sandwich snack for us to review. They are awesome and I love the trees and flowers design! I love sending Adeline to school knowing that I am doing my small part to help the environment by using these reusable bags. Both bags are 100% cotton on the exterior and the interior is lined with polyurethane coated nylon making it very easy to wash. The nylon has also been tested and is confirmed to be lead, phthalate and BPA free! The snack sack measures 6”W x 4.5”H and retails for $6.95. The sandwich sack measures 7.5”W x 6”H, making it large enough for even wraps, and retails for $8.95. The bags are available in many different prints and are perfect for all ages. You can also purchase a Make-your-own-taxi set which includes 6 snack-sacks and 6 markers. These would make a great craft and party favor for a birthday party.
You can view all of the fabrics and check all of the products on: www.snacktaxi.com
