Throughout 2012, Disney Parks is encouraging guests to “Let the Memories Begin.” A visit to Disneyland Resort could include a memory-making, 24-hour Leap Year adventure in Disneyland park, which will remain open “One More Disney Day“ from 6 a.m. Feb. 29th to 6 a.m. March 1st (entry valid with regular admission ticket). Guests may also choose to “make memories” during seasonal celebrations in the parks, a meal at the new Jolly Holiday Bakery Café on Main Street, U.S.A. or a stay in the newly renovated Disneyland Hotel. Spending the day or even weekend at the park is the perfect getaway especially for local So. Cal residents. Pretend you are a tourist at Disney while you play in your “backyard”! Southern California residents can purchase a 2-Day, 1-Park per Day Disneyland Resort ticket for just $99 and pick one park to visit each day. Enjoy the flexibility of visiting on 2 different days between now and June 9, 2012. These tickets can be purchased only until June 1, 2012. Whether you are local, or an an out of town guest, there are special promotions on Disneyland tickets, hotels and vacation packages that are right for you! What I love about all of the Disney parks is that they are always adding new adventures for their guests. Families can look forward to the classic staples at each park and then experience new attractions. 2012 is a big year for Disneyland Resort as they unveil Cars Land, Carthay Circle Theatre and Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure Park. Mad T Party also opens this summer at Disney California Adventure with nighttime family fun inspired by the whimsical world of Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland.” We always have a fun time at California Adventure and the food choices are yummy!
Every year my family flew to Orlando, FL for our annual vacation at Disney World. I have so many fond memories of the Magic Kingdom. Taking the water ferry to the entrance was a fun way to start off our adventures. Plus, seeing Cinderella’s Castle and all of the different people who come together at the park was always a unique experience for me! My favorite recollection is of me and my little brother seeking out Disney characters for their autographs. I still have our autograph books! My favorite rides were It’s A Small World, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and Carousel of Progress. Carousel of Progress was the best ride to cool down and rest your feet! Oh, and for some reason, breaking down on rides was entertaining. I had more time to check out the scenery and sometimes we saw some of the behind the scenes when we’d have to leave through an alternate exit!
Fast forward to 2012. I now live on the opposite coast with my family. We are in Southern California which means I live about 30 minutes away from Disneyland {insert grin here}! We’ve already visited the park numerous times. My daughter’s first time at Disneyland Park was right after her first birthday. Her grandparents and cousin were in town and that made it an even more magical moment! I loved seeing her and her little cousin with their personalized Mickey Mouse ears. My daughter is four now and is definitely more of a thrill seeker than I am. She prefers rides like the Astro Orbitor and the Gadget’s Go Coaster Toon Town. Autopia is another favorite since she gets to drive her own car. But, ask her what ride she wants to go on first? She’ll point to the map right at It’s A Small World {again, insert grin here}. Like mommy, like daughter! I treasure my childhood Disney memories and I hope to create even more memorable ones with my daughter.

This looks like a blast!! We have disney world here locally, but have never been to disneyland. Hopefully some day!
This looks so fun! The Mad T Party looks like a blast. I would love to take my kiddos to see this! Disney never ceases to amaze me.
I want to go to Disney so badly! Jake went with his grandparents when he was really young, but I would like to take him again. I should get on it, considering he’s in high school!
Me and my family have always enjoyed Disney parks. My children’s favorite cartoons come alive at Disney and they can see it for real. All those exciting rides and theme parks are so much fun. My children are now slowly growing up and have already different interest but making a trip to Disney bring a smile on their faces. This summer we will be going to our Branson show tickets agent for a Disney tour and enjoy ourselves with out the stress and taking out my children to a great experience once again.
