All of us here at That’s IT Mommy love everything Disney. I actually worked at Disneyland when I was in college and have many great memories from that time. WHAT: In conjunction with Make-A-Wish and World Wish Day, Disney Store will celebrate the grand opening of the newly-designed store at Glendale Galleria, in Glendale, California on Sunday, April 29, 2012. The Glendale Galleria store opened in 1987 as Disney Store’s inaugural location, and launched a new concept known as entertainment retail. Today the store’s new innovative design offers an interactive and magical experience for Disney fans of all ages. In honor of World Wish Day, a global celebration of wish granting, a Make-A-Wish child will “unlock imagination” and lead Disney Store’s signature opening ceremony to officially open the store. Disney Store’s new design concept aims to deliver “the best 30 minutes of a child’s day” through immersive storytelling neighborhood featuring a Disney Princess castle with magic mirror, translucent trees, and the Disney Store Theatre featuring the latest Disney entertainment.
WHEN: Sunday, April 29, 2012
- 11:00 a.m. —Disney Store Opening Ceremony and one lucky wish child “Unlocks Imagination”. The first 500 guests will receive a free gift.*
- 12 p.m. – 4p.m. Meet and Greet with Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder, Belle and Beast in the mall’s center court. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
*Characters alternate every 30 minutes. Character appearances are subject to change or cancellation without notice.
