Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar
Downtown Disney is the best place for people watching, enjoying local music, shopping and of course eating! And eating is what I did at a recent pre-holiday VIP event at Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar. This was my first time at the restaurant and I had a positive experience. The Mediterranean cuisine was delicious, the food service was top notch and Catal was the perfect atmosphere to celebrate with friends.
Guests gathered upstairs at the rotunda where we were treated to beautiful cheeses and cocktails and wine. Catal’s Sangria is the house special and it is an IT drink in my book! Fruity, full and just delightful! Servers then walked in with a massive flat pan filled with Paella. Paella is a rice dish using a variety of seafood, meats and spice and vegetables. Definitely a crowd favorite. The Paella was tasty and fresh. I couldn’t get enough! We also sampled a couple of items from the Tapas menu. The Pan con Manchego Airbread and Tuna Tartare Tacos were adventurous! I don’t usually eat raw tuna! the taste was nice but the texture was different for me.
Catal has indoor/outdoor seating and the atmosphere is fun! Guests were lively and staff were upbeat, attentive and friendly. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner or even a late night drink outside out at their beautiful bar. So whether you are on a date night with your spouse or your looking for another food option outside of Disneyland, Catal is the place to be for elegant fine dining. Plus, Catal is family friendly! Kids have their own menu with healthy food options. Catal also hosts the best views of Downtown Disney. If you’re lucky you might catch Disneyland’s fireworks show!

Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar was voted one of the top three dining options in Downtown Disney, Anaheim. Kids eat free 5-7 everyday! Promotion ends (12/31/12).
