The Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square was put on ice for two years. It makes its return to downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
Sunny Los Angeles will get a taste of winter fun when the Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square resumes a tradition that lasted 20 years before the pandemic interrupted it.
The 7,200 square foot outdoor rink offers visitors professional-quality skating and entertainment. Organizers expect more than 54,000 skaters and 450,000 spectators every year, and say it fosters a community environment while embracing winter fitness and fun.
The Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square will be open until Jan. 1, 2023. The Icebreaker Opening Celebration will be Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. and will feature a live performance, special guests, and the first skaters will be a group of youths from south Los Angeles
“Whether you are a Los Angeles resident or simply visiting for the holiday season, the Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square is an absolute must when it comes to embracing winter in Los Angeles,” said Willy Bietak, president of Willy Bietak Productions.
The Ice Rink Pershing Square is located at 532 South Olive Street, and is easily accessible by car, bus or Metro (Pershing Square stop). General admission to the rink, including skate rental, is $20, locker rental is $5, and skate helpers are $6.
Private parties are available on select Mondays and Tuesdays during the 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. sessions on or before Dec. 13. The rate for a private party is $5,000. Sessions are not open to the public if sold to a private party.
