There are certain toy companies that have always produced fun, quality, reliable toys; and in my opinion, Hasbro is one of them. Hasbro continues to improve upon and innovate play, and we were very happy to have the opportunity to review a few of those toys recently.
Christmas is coming, and though it’s tempting, we try not to break the bank in what we buy for the kids, although we do like to get them a few new things that we know they’d love. Norah, our six-year-old, was instantly drawn to the Baby Alive Crib Life doll that we received. Named Hailey Hula, her information on the box told us that she likes hula dancing and traveling. All Crib Life dolls come with a charm that hides a secret code that allows girls to get inside the “crib” online atCribLife.com, too. Your child can play games, check out videos, create a “crib” of their own and get to know some of the other Crib Life cutie dolls, each with their own personality. Hailey came clad in an adorable outfit with Panda slippers and matching hat, and she had a mini book as well. The Crib Life dolls retail for $14.99 and are recommended for ages 5 and up. Since we received Hailey, Norah has taken her on many adventures to meet her other baby dolls, and Hailey even came with us on a short road trip in which she entertained Norah for the entire duration. The Crib Life girls are “Born Awesome”, and I’m guessing your little girl is going to think they’re awesome, too!
My girls aren’t just doll lovers, though. We’ve been fans of the Littlest Pet Shop toys for years, and so wewere thrilled to get to play with the Littlest Pet Shop Walkables Corgi puppy. The girls were so excited to see their favorite toy do something new–walk! The Walkables pets are easy to use, and begin walking with just the push of a button. The pets also include batteries so your pets are ready to go right out of the box, a very good thing for my impatient three-year-old. As soon as I set it free from its box, she proceeded to let the puppy walk all over the kitchen table, eventually running to get some of our other Littlest Pet Shop toys to “introduce” them toher puppy. All three girls have used him at one point or another and have been delighted with the new facet that a walking Littlest Pet adds to their imaginary play. Recommended for ages 4 and up and retailing for $9.99, the Littlest Pet Walkables are a whole lot of cute for not a whole of money!
Among our dolls and animals, we’ve had a truck in our midst a time or two. Though my daughters prefer their babies and the like, my one-year-old nephew Brayden, on the other hand, was all too happy to help me take a look at Hasbro’s Tonka Chuck & Friends Fold ‘N Go Mini Vehicle 4-Pack with Book—the Bridge Jump Adventure series. The box features four squeezeably-sweet truck friends and a storybook. I was impressed with the softness and the details that each truck had, and Brayden adored zooming them around and making a “vroom” noise while he did so. The bright colors and cute smiling faces really add to the overall appeal, as well as the size, which was just perfect for Brayden’s little hand. I sat and watched him zoom those trucks all over for a good amount of time. Days later, when I visited him again, he was still pushing those trucks around, crawling behind and watching the wheels spin. Chuck and Friends endured crashing, squeezing and even an occasional tossing (Brayden is only one, after all), and yet they were no worse for the wear. For such small toys, their durability is impressive. Retailing for only $9.99 and recommended for the over 12 months set, they are the perfect size for stocking stuffers.
Whether you’ve got a baby doll or truck lover, Hasbro has you covered this holiday season. As reliable as they have always been and with the consumer in mind, Hasbro offers a variety of options for low-cost yet adorable and fun entertainment! Happy shopping!

I remember when Baby Alive first came out and everyone was looking for them for Christmas and were practically fighting over them!
