We hit the road with Go Go squeeZ for the ultimate Play Day! I jumped at the chance to spend the day with them and thank them for taking care of us on our outing! Our pantry is always stocked with GoGo squeeZ. I take them on play dates or pack them in my daughter’s lunch. Ask my daughter Teagan what she thinks of GoGo squeeZ and she will say, “I don’t like GoGo squeeZ! I love GoGo squeeZ!” I was confident that our big day out would be a blast! Our schedule was filled with applesauce pouches and star studded moments all in the fun SoCal way.
This past Saturday morning, our car service arrived and whisked us away to downtown L.A for a red carpet moment. Along with our driver Calvin, we were accompanied by a representative of GoGo squeeZ. Her name was Hannah and she instantly became my daughter’s buddy. In the car, we were treated to a box of GoGo squeeZ supplies that got us through the day. If you are not familiar with GoGo squeeZ, they are resealable pouches packed with 100% fruit. The packaging is BPA free which is a plus for Mom. The Applesauce on the Go line offers 11 different flavors. My daughter’s favorite is Apple Mango. Yum!
First stop was Regal Cinemas LA Live for The Nut Job premiere! This all-new animated movie stars Surly (Will Arnett), a mischeivous squirrel who comes up with a crazy plan to ensure that him and his friends collect enough food to get through winter. We were stationed alongside the red carpet and chatted with stars from the film-Will Arnett, who voices Surly (Arrested Development, Blades of Glory), Katherine Hegil is Andie (Gray’s anatomy, Knocked Up) along with the Peter Lepeniotis the director of the film. Each talked about their experience on the film. I asked Katherine Heigl what her nuttiest moment is and her response was, “I can’t think of one but I’m a mom and I do come prepared”. This comment was after she pulled out a lint remover from her purse to remove the hair from a pug that she was holding earlier. Katherine also took a moment to pose for a picture with Teagan. The pic is adorable and I love Teagan’s Go Go squeeZ cape. Another cute moment was seeing Hedgehogs! The National Wildlife Federation teamed up with The Nut Job and they were on hand to allow guests an up close and personal look at some of the animals they brought to the red carpet. Look at this little guy!
Our next stop was Third Street Promenade where we met up with the GoGo squeeZ crew. Third Street Promenade is always bustling with street performers and shoppers. A crowd had gathered to watch dancers. Talk about mad moves! Extreme pogo stickers were next up. They wowed the audience with their flips and pogo skills. I couldn’t believe what they could pull off. Kids, definitely don’t try this at home!
Pacific Park was next on our agenda. We were extremely close to Santa Monica Pier and were there within minutes. This popular amusement park is a favorite attraction for locals and tourists. Rides, food and games will keep your family busy. My six year old can’t get enough of the Sea Dragon. She’s also a fan of the West Coast. Fortunately, Hannah rode that one with Teagan as I can’t stomach extreme rides! The Pacific Wheel is a must especially for first time visitors! Sit back and relax while enjoying 360 views of Santa Monica, the Pacific Ocean and the famous Santa Monica Beach.
Our family play date ended with our shoes off and a stroll along the beach. My daughter loves building sandcastles and listening to the ocean! What a perfect way to end our epic play date!
I encourage you to plan your next play date and discover what is happening in your local area! Living in SoCal has endless opportunities to see movie screenings, explore beautiful beaches and more. Pack lunches, grab some GoGo squeeZ and GO-GO-GO!
Thank you to Go Go squeeZ for our memorable day out!
