Now Open: Dunkin Donuts Hollywood Location

One of the hardest things to leave behind when I moved from Massachusetts to Hollywood, California was….Dunkin’ Donuts! (Of course, after family and friends!!) Eventually, you could get Dunkin’ beans and K-Cups in area supermarkets and Baskin-Robbins but there is nothing like entering an actual Dunkin’ Donuts store. It has a very specific aesthetics from the sweet donut scents and savory coffee to the actual color scheme of the store. For the past few months, California has been lucky enough to finally get stores opened in Santa Monica, Downey, and Culver City. Even though traveling to these locations from Hollywood is easier than traveling 3000 miles back to MA for my favorite location, I am happy to announce Hollywood now has its very own Dunkin’ Donuts!

Dunkin’ Donuts is definitely an East Coast passion. Living in Los Angeles, I would have never thought I’d have a Dunks ½ from mile from my home. When I was a kid, “Dunks” was simply about the donuts and coffee but eventually grew to offer many other tasty meal options and baked goods. While most of my fellow New Englanders would order their coffee “regulah”, my preference is the Hazelnut, black, either Hot or Iced. That plus a blueberry cake donut sets my taste buds on a delicious nostalgic trip back to Sunday mornings with my grandparents, to Cub Scout meetings in the church basement and multiple coffee runs during the oppressive New England winters. Having this new Dunkin’ Donuts store in my neighborhood puts me closer to a brand I love and a 3000 mile trip down memory lane.

As of Saturday, December 12, Dunkin’ Donuts, “America’s all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods”, opened its doors and rolled out the celebratory pink carpet at their new location in Hollywood located at 6201 Hollywood Blvd. (Hollywood and Argyle Ave). The Hollywood establishment will offer residents and visitors a full array of iconic Dunkin’ Donuts food and beverages with the fast and friendly service the brand is known for.

The new location is a DD Green Achievement™ restaurant with energy- and water-saving features. These include atmospheric LED lights, high-performance windows and low-flow faucets.
