Universal Pictures has released the Big Game spot for Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi thriller, “Disclosure Day.”
The film teases a chilling global question: if you found out we weren’t alone—if someone showed you, proved it to you—would that frighten you? This summer, the truth won’t belong to the few, but to seven billion people as the world moves closer to what the film calls “Disclosure Day.”
In what seems like the return of a Spielberg blockbuster, “Disclosure Day” promises to deliver audiences a big story, huge spectacle, and a stacked cast. And this teaser alone let’s us know that we should have this film on our radar.
While the early marketing kept the premise wrapped in mystery, the Big Game spot feels like the first real confirmation that something is coming from above. In one standout image, a UFO-like shape appears to break through the evening cloud cover, shifting the tease from abstract dread to a more tangible “we’re being watched” kind of terror—less conspiracy board, more undeniable sky event.
The original event feature is created and directed by Spielberg and stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo. The screenplay comes from longtime Spielberg collaborator David Koepp, whose previous work with the filmmaker includes Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull—films that combined earned more than $3 billion worldwide.
Universal Pictures has scheduled “Disclosure Day” for a June 12, 2026 release.
