We were invited to review the Cruis’n the Park Car Show for editorial purposes. Opinions are our own.
Drive-through experiences have been a life-saver for people looking
for things to safely enjoy during the pandemic. Six Flags Magic Mountain and West Coast Customs announced their first drive-thru experience called Cruis’n The Park Car Show. You know you’re doing something right when a theme park dedicates a rollercoaster to you!
West Coast Racers is a staple at Six Flags Magic Mountain and sadly
it’s been idling for the past year. What makes this car show unique,
next to their gorgeous cars, is that it takes place INSIDE the
theme park. My family and I love car shows and didn’t want to miss
this opportunity to check out the theme park from a different
perspective. West Coast Customs drive-thru Cruis’n The Park Car Show is a car show reimagined!
Tickets for Cruis’n The Park Car Show are reserved in advance and safety protocols are in place to ensure everyone has a fun, safe experience throughout the park. Download the West Coast Customs free app prior to hitting the track. West Coast Customs Founder, Ryan Friedlinghaus narrates the tour from the app and offers history behind the collections of gorgeous classic cars, mesmerizing low-riders, and stunning motorcycles. We were also treated to entertainment along the route from DJs, dancers and a
mariachi band.
My family and I enjoyed learning about the inspiring history of the
company and wondered if they could Pimp our Kia Soul. Even my thirteen
year old enjoyed cruising with her parents as she daydreamed of
someday riding the thrill rides we were driving along through the park. We also went down memory lane as we haven’t been to the Six Flags since my daughter was little! We all had our favorites along the route. I dig the classic cars, my daughter liked the all-white Toyota truck (number 72) and my husband loved all the Jeeps. A nice bonus was seeing a retro Six Flags Magic Mountain bus just at the exit.
The event is perfect for car aficionados, anyone who just likes to
admire cars or even if you’re just looking for something to do with
the kids. Cruis’n The Park Show is entertaining and gave us hope. We all need something to look forward to as California starts to reopen theme
parks and hopefully everything else in the near-future. It was awesome DRIVING in the park for this event. Staff were friendly as they stood-by to offer assistance if we needed it.
Merchandise is available at the event as well as snack-packs for
additional purchase. The experience lasts around 30 minutes.
