Buick provided a car for testing purposes.
I loved driving the Buick Regal TourX! It’s definitely not the station wagon I remember as a kid. In my short time with the car, the luxury wagon quickly turned into one of my favorite cars to drive. The Regal TourX is fun to drive, comfortable, spacious, and every drive was an adventure.
Is it a family car? Yes! Definitely. The Regal TourX is a cool family car. It’s all wheel drive and is lower to the ground which gave it a sporty, athletic feel. I’m not sure that I need the AWL drive in Los Angeles, but it is a nice feature for driving up to the mountains. Plus, like other Buicks I’ve driven, it’s eye-catching and is so roomy for the kids plus there’s ample cargo space. Beyond the looks, the car has a ton of safety features. Some of the safety features include front pedestrian braking, rear cross traffic alert, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning. All of the features help keep everyone safe in the car and give parents a piece of mind.
The car feels high tech, and it was one of the features I didn’t enjoy. The only thing that I didn’t like is the digital rear view mirror. It’s high definition video, and for some reason, it gave me motion sickness. Plus, it didn’t seem to capture what I would typically see in a rear view mirror. It was definitely a widescreen view, but I prefer a non-digital mirror. I was happy to turn that feature off! The mirror also has a dimming feature which I used at night.
The TourX comes with auto stop/start technology, which turns your engine off when idling and helps fuel economy. I’m not sure how much that supports in city stop/go traffic which I happen to deal with daily. The car is quiet and offers dual-zone climate control that provides both driver and passenger personalized comfort. The drive is smooth and not clunky and I such a pleasure!
The sleek, long look of the Regal TourXmakes this car stylish with a lush interior for an overall luxury look and feel. The vehicle offers excellent gas mileage and is quite honestly a car that I would buy! I felt the Buick Regal TourX is an outstanding car for families who don’t want an SUV.
