Apple TV+ has released the newest trailer for their upcoming documentary, “K-Pop Idols.” K-Pop, short for Korean pop music, blends some of the most influenial genres of music like pop, hip-hop, rock, and more through the creative lens of Korean culture. Though the music has hit the global mainstream, the new docuseries explores the challenges of becoming a K-Pop idol.
Premiering globally on August 30, this six-part docuseries offers fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the intense reality of K-pop stardom. Viewers will follow Jessi on her first solo tour, CRAVITY as they strive to impress their agency, and BLACKSWAN as they navigate internal tensions. The series captures the personal and professional challenges these artists face — providing a powerful exploration of the obstacles, victories and relentless drive required to succeed as a K-pop idol.
Netflix’s Bling Empire producer Elise Chung serves as executive producer of “K-Pop Idols.”

“K-Pop Idols” is produced for Apple TV+ by Boat Rocker’s Matador Content with Emmy Award-winning executive producers Todd Lubin (“Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry”) and Jack Turner (“Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields”), alongside Elise Chung (“Bling Empire”), Bradley Cramp (“Lord of War”), Chris Kasick (“Citizen Sleuth”), Eric Yujin Kim (“Undoing”), Emmy Award winner Jay Peterson (“Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry”) and Sue Kim (“The Speed Cubers”).
