I’m extremely grateful and lucky to walk on the red carpet and see some of my favorite stars up-close and personal at movie premiers! The premiere for Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day was held at the El Capitan in Hollywood, where we not only got to see Steve Carrel in person but we also take photos with Jennifer Garner! An anxious crowd also gathered along the perimeters of the premiere. Not only were they to see Alexander stars but the carpet was swarming with popular young Disney stars! My daughter joined me for some Disney fun and she was in heaven when she realized that stars from her favorite Disney Channel show were there. She can’t get enough of Jessie and she was ecstatic to meet and pose with Peyton List (Emma), Karan Brar (Ravi) as well as Skai Jackson (Zuri). These kids are down to earth and extremely friendly. That’s all a Mom could ask for when their daughter is meeting her favorite stars!
Another highlight was posing with Zendaya. She’s beautiful, talented and the crowd was wild for her!
We also ran into Vine sensation, Eh Bee! Their videos are neat!
Jennifer Garner, who plays Alexander’s mom in the film, looked beautiful dressed in black with her hair pulled back in a high ponytail. She stopped to take a selfie with our kids. I think we need to give her a tip on selfies because she almost cut her own head out of the picture. Ha!
The movie is adorable and I think I liked it better the second time around. Maybe it’s the enthusiasm in the theater because sitting amongst the actual actors and their families plus the creative teams is really exciting! After the movie, we hit up the after party at the new Dave & Buster’s across the street from El Capitan at Hollywood & Highland. This was the perfect atmosphere for a fun over-the-top movie! We played games and my daughter scored 30k on skee-ball! Woot!! And we took more photos with the cast of the film such as Ed Oxenbould who plays Alexander. He’s a doll. Read our behind-the-scenes post with him here. I also hammed it up with Dylan Minnette who plays Alexander’s older brother. He’s so sweet!
OMG! We ran into Champ Kind (David Koechner) from Anchorman who was hanging with actor Jessie Garcia. Jessie plays one of the kangaroo wranglers in the film! My red carpet experience was far from a very bad day! Read sure to read my movie review here before you see it this weekend! Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is rated PG and is in theaters nationwide on October 10!
