Disney Channel’s Animated TV series Gravity Falls is now available on DVD! I was wicked excited to receive a review copy. My family came across the twins, Dipper and Mabel while we were hanging out in our hotel room while on vacation. We were flipping channels and landed on the cartoon. My husband and I thought the show was a riot!
Gravity Falls is a small town in Oregon. Don’t let it’s boring facade fool you, the town has a dark, mysterious side to it which shows itself to Dipper and Mabel their first week in town! The twins are thrust into one adventure after another during their summer at The Mystery Shack owned by their great uncle “Grunkle” Stan.
Dipper and Mabel are typical siblings. They razz each other and call names but they always have each others backs. Dipper discovers a strange book which warns “TRUST NO ONE” but two pair quickly realizes that there are people they can trust in Gravity Falls.
My daughter is six. We did watch a couple of episodes with her. She’s laughed at a bunch of things but most of the humor goes over her head. I feel that the show is definitely PG as some of the content is dark. I feel it’s geared towards kids 8+.
The DVD has six episodes. The first episode explains how Dipper got his tree trucker hat!
My husband and I can’t wait to see Season 2 of Gravity Falls. Until then we have our DVD and Mystery Book to keep us company.
