My first concert in Los Angeles was a Halloween show featuring The Cramps and Queens of the Stone Age at the Greek Theater. The Greek is an incredible outdoor theater nestled inside Griffith Park under the stars. The size is perfect and every seat in the house has a nice view of the stage. My husband actually wound up working there for 4 seasons. My husband and I love the venue. I’m so excited to attend another Halloween event at The Greek. This time my family will check out EEK! At The Greek! It will also be the first time my daughter attends a show here.
Symphony In The Glen and Nederlander Concerts will host the 3rd annual Annual EEK! At The Greek!, a symphonic extravaganza on Sunday, October 27. This family-friendly event featuring the 60-piece Symphony In The Glen Orchestra with Maestro Arthur B. Rubinstein will present a creepy collection of frightening favorites including: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Night on Bald Mountain, Manuel de Falla’s Ritual Fire Dance, and the return of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-tale Heart” with special guest narrator (TBA).
Adding to the festivities, The Greek Theatre’s front plaza will be transformed into a “Trick-orTreat Village,” welcoming families to bring their children for safe trick-or treating and Halloween activities from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, including a pre-show children’s costume contest with prizes!
Symphony In The Glen is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization with the purpose of cultivating new generations of classical music lovers. The orchestra comprises professional musicians whose talents and skills grace the premier orchestras of Los Angeles.
