It seems that everywhere you look, companies are offering photo prints on canvas. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE canvas. But sometimes something a little different is nice too. Such as a photo printed on bamboo!
Paper Culture is a eco-conscience company that prints customizable cards, stationery and bamboo prints. Their modern designs are inspired by brands such as Kate Spade, Design within Reach and Mini Marc Jacobs. Even better than the beautiful designs is that fact that only post consumer recycled paper is used for their products AND a tree is planted with every order placed!
I was given the chance to spend $50 at this amazing site and decided I had to try out a bamboo print! The hardest part was deciding what photo I wanted to get printed. My (future) mother-in-law had to put their 12 year old Australian Shepard, Coach, to sleep. 🙁 So I chose to use a photo him. He was one of the best dogs I ever met and he meant so much to us all. I thought this would be a great way to remember him. An added bonus was that a tree also got planted in his honor.
I decided to go with the small size even though it went over the price $50 a little. The process was simple. I chose the “make your own” style and uploaded a photo of Coach. Then I was given the option of having a professional designer check it over and make any changes (which I declined). It took 10 days for the print to be created and arrive at my door. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the product. The bamboo is thick and sturdy and the photo quality is perfect. It comes with a keyhole cut out on the back making hanging easy.
The bamboo wall art designs range from Alphabet Animals, perfect for a child’s room, to photo wall art that you can customize with your own photo and personalized text. You can also choose a “make your own wall art” option where you can upload your very own design and have it printed and mounted on the bamboo panel. Paper Culture chose to use bamboo for their prints not only for it’s beauty but also because bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on the planet. It grows three to four feet in a single day making it one of the most renewable resources in the world. The Bamboo wall art comes in four sizes Mini (5.4 x 5.4) $39.99, Small (8.5 x 8.5) $59.99, Medium (11.6 x 11.6) $89.99 and Large (17.8 X 17.8) $199.99. If you are looking for a unique gift for someone or a unique way to display your photos you should check out Paper Culture’s Bamboo prints. While you are there make sure to browse their large selection of eco invitations, announcements and other stationery products!
