With it feeling like winter in LA the past few days, it’s hard to believe that summer is right around the corner. Despite the gloomy weather, we’ve been out and about trying to drum up awareness for Pancreatic Cancer. Tee & Heather are doing the PurpleStride walk on May 12th and we’d love for you to join Team That’s IT Mommy if you are in the LA area! If you can’t make it, every $1 you can donate will help in our goal of raising $1000. Tee lost her mother and Heather lost her uncle to Pancreatic Cancer, so this is a cause we are passionate about! PurpleStride events contribute millions of dollars toward the mission of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to advance research, support patients and create hope. Funds raised help provide personalized support for patients and support research grants and advocacy efforts to increase federal pancreatic cancer research funding. For participants, it is a journey toward hope that is filled with inspiration. It is a time to honor loved ones fighting pancreatic cancer. It is a day when all of the family and friends of pancreatic cancer patients can come together in solidarity and gain both comfort and encouragement.
