My family and I along with our friends attended the August 28th Premiere of Tinker Bell and The Great Fairy Rescue! The movie premiered at an event called the Outdoor Cinema Food Fest. We had a fantastic time! Not only did we get to see the world premier of the movie but we also got to taste great food from various food trucks from around LA. My favorite was the Calbi BBQ truck. They have the best Kimchi Quesadillas! The event was extremely organized, clean and Radio Disney was there to get the kids hyped up and happy! Disney supplied fairy wings, glow sticks and blankets for each family. I couldn’t have imagined a better way to view this title. The weather was perfect on Saturday and I must say it was nice mingling with some VIP!
Tinker Bell has to be one of Disney’s best selling characters. Tink has flown into the hearts of so many children and you could see the excitement on the audiences’ faces on Saturday night. Tinker Bell and The Great Fairy Rescue is the story of friendship and magic! Tink meets her first human friend named Lizzy. Lizzy is a sweet young girl who is spending her summer in the English Countryside. She holds fairies dear to her heart and she desperately wants her father’s to believe in the magic. That’s not so easy to do when your dad is a scientist and only deals with facts!
This story is an adventure from beginning to end. Find out how Tinker Bell winds up in Lizzy’s room and what Tinker Bell’s friends endure to save her. There is tons of excitement, fairy dust and flying! Speaking of flying. I thought the wings on the fairy characters looked so realistic. I also never thought about what would happen to the fairies if their wings got wet.
I love the cat in this movie! One of my favorite scenes is when the cat sways around wearing its cat nip crown. I also loved that the drawings in Lizzy’s room. The drawings had a wonderful realistic look to them and I found out why. The credits listed that they were actually drawn by real nine-year-old girls. A wonderful realistic touch!
Tinker Bell and The Great Fairy Rescue is charming, and the computer animation is stunning and crisp. The storyline is appropriate for young girls and I feel that any little girl would love to see this movie. Young and old can use their imaginations and remember what it was like to be a child, to dream, make friends and explore!

My family and I were there in the event and had such an amazing time! They gave out free fairy wings, blankets and glow sticks to all the kids! They had it decorated so cute with butterfilies hanging from the trees and centerpeices on the tables. The food was excellent from the food trucks, I didn ‘t know what to expect as it was my first experience eating food from food trucks! It was delicious! We already had so much fun and the movie had not even started yet! We cuddled up in blankets and enjoyed the movie which was very cute…who doesn’t love tinkerbell?
