And Speaking of Strawberry Shortcake, That’s IT Mommy was invited to attended a 30th Birthday Bash for Strawberry Shortcake at Berry Flash. The party also celebrated the launch of Hub TV and their other shows, Maryoku Yummy and Twisted Whiskers. That’s IT Mommy Heather and her children headed over to West LA for the festivities. Here’s a Berry Bitty look at what they experienced:
Outside the event was a Lemonade Stand, complete with strawberry lemonade, hosted by Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). Together with Strawberry Shortcake, they are enlisting volunteers across the country to host Strawberry Shortcake Alex’s Lemonade Stands during September and October to help raise national awareness and support fundraising efforts for childhood cancer research. All funds raised at these special lemonade stands will go towards ALSF along with an additional $50 for every strawberry lemonade stand registered to be donated by American Greetings Properties up to $15,000. Waiting for us inside was the guest of honor, of course, along with one of her Hub TV friends from Twisted Whiskers.
A caricaturist was there to turn the girls into little Strawberry Shortcakes. Kieran was in awe of the artist’s rendition of her. He was a master, and his skillfulness changed Kieran into a little Shortcake! There was also a face-painter, but Kieran opted out of that activity. I was actually surprised that she wanted her picture taken with the characters, as she tends to shy away from those sorts of things! She couldn’t stop talking about it on the way home.
There was a huge spread of appetizers and sweets. I honestly think the sweets may have outnumbered the appetizers! So I indulged for this special occasion.
The computers at Berry Flash were going, and kids could hop on American Greetings webpage for some games, videos and more! Kieran enjoyed her Strawberry/Cream Cheese Bruschetta while she perused the site. Next to all the swag, they had examples of personalized items up for sale at www.tystoybox.com. From backpacks to pillowcases to clothes, Ty’s Toy Box has a huge selection of personalized licensed gifts. The best part—personalization is FREE!
Thank you to American Greetings, Hub TV, Hot Moms Club, Momfluential and Berry Flash for hosting such a wonderful party!
