Children’s shoes are sooooo cute! I love browsing through rows of mini-sized shoes at department stores. Style is definitely a factor in my purchasing decisions but what’s most important is the support, fit and comfort for my daughter’s precious feet. Price can also be a factor but I’m not always confident that I’m buying a good, healthy pair of shoes for my daughter when I opt for a cheap brand.
I’ve always known Pediped footwear as one of the leading shoe companies for infants. Teagan wore a pair of Pedipeds when she was a non-walker. I actually have the shoes as a keepsake. I never looked back to Pediped once Teagan started to walk. I just figured Pediped was for infants. I recently learned that Pediped offers shoes for crawlers up to confident walkers! Their Flex line is for children 1-7 years old.
I jumped at the chance to test out a pair from Pediped’s spring line. I decided on the sneaker called Adrian from Pediped’s Flex line. The sneaker comes in various colors but Teagan selected Fuchsia/Light Pink ($48). Teagan loves any shade of pink so this color was perfect. Teagan is constantly on the go. She needs shoes that support her every move and these shoes are soft, flexible and are skid resistant. The Adrian sneaker allows her feet to breathe. Her feet sweat more in the other sneakers she has worn. This sneaker has a retro style with a large Velcro band for easy on and off. The Velcro is perfect for little kids who are learning to put their own shoes on.
Pediped shoes do run slightly larger. So what’s neat about these sneakers is that they have the Flex Fit System, “Each pair comes with an additional 2mm insole to customize the fit so it’s just right for each child. If the child starts with both insoles, as the child’s feet grow the additional insoles may be removed to extend the length of time the child can wear the shoes.” Teagan is currently wearing the sneakers with the insole.
She loves the Adrian sneakers and wears them DAILY. I’m serious. She will not put on another pair of shoes. She even wore them with her Easter dress. The best part is that she hasn’t complained about any discomfort because she usually blisters in other brands! The shoes are machine washable, which is good news for mom and dad. The only thing that I noticed is that there are small spots of fraying in some of the mesh areas of the shoe. Again, my daughter has been wearing the heck out of them on a daily basis so I do expect some wear and tear. The Flex soles have shown no sign of damage.
I know that not everyone can afford the price tag on some of the higher end shoes but these prices truly reflect the quality. I don’t mind spending more especially when my daughter gets longer wear out of them. Many of Teagan’s “cheaper” shoes have hurt her feet and she stopped wearing them immediately. What a waste!
Another reason to love Pediped is their commitment to the community. Pediped established the Pediped Foundation in 2010. They have partnered with charities that are dedicated to the welfare of children from around the world. The owners and business partners of Pediped are philanthropists and have donated $1,000,000 in product and monetary support to children in need. For more information visit www.pedipedfoundation.org

I love those shoes! My granddaughter turns 4 in June and shoes are a staple grandma gift 🙂
I haven’t gotten the chance to look at children’s shoes in a while. But! I must agree that these shoes are really cute! I might have to look into buying some. ;P
How cute these sneakers are! I love that they’re machine washable and more importantly, they’re approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association for promoting healthy foot development. Pediped makes quality shoes. My granddaughter loves her Pedipeds. 🙂
