Here is your first look at some of the toys, figures and merchandise tied to Disney Junior’s “The Lion Guard” airing mornings on the Disney Channel!
The Lion Guard Merchandise
“The Lion Guard” continues the epic storytelling of Disney’s “The Lion King” and follows the adventures of Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, and his diverse group of friends as they unite to protect the Pride Lands.
Disney has a unique product line including figures, talking plush, books, apps and more which will be available at mass retailers and Disney Store locations in the coming weeks.
Disney Store should already have the plush, toys and shirts available in their stores now.
Lion Guard figures with accessories and talking plush should be available this January at mass retailers.
Disney Books will have a few books released on January 19 available where all books are sold.
Both Target and Walmart will have bed sets available sometime in April.
Protect the Pride Lands board game will be out Spring 2016 at mass retailers. Stand together to protect the Pride Lands! Fearsome foes from the shadowy outlands are closing in and you must work as a team to fend them off! Race to get Kion to the top of Pride Rock so he can unleash the power of the roar and save the day! For Ages 4+.
The Lion Guard App should be released on January through the iTunes Store at $4.99. Fans can join Kion and all the members of the Lion Guard on action-packed adventures to protect the Circle of Life. When a difficult obstacle blocks Kion’s way, players must call on a member of The Lion Guard to help him complete his mission before the sun sets. Players must race through the African savannah to help The Lion Guard complete each level – but they have to watch out for mischievous hyenas and other villains along the way! For ages 3 – 5.
At last year’s D23 Convention they showed a sneak peek of this new animated series on the Main Stage. The animation looked very much like the original movie and the other sequels. Characters from the other Lion King movies should be making appearances in the new series as well, like Timon, Pumbaa and Simba.
Check your cable or network programming guide for air times for The Lion Guard on Disney Channel.
