LG held its press conference at Virtual CES in the very early morning hours announcing new televisions, appliances and a sneak peek of a phone concept that could be out in 2021.
LG introduces their Home Appliances and Air Care for 2021 with the LG PuriCare™ line. They feature high-performance filters and sensor controlled fans to deliver purified air and optimal breathing comfort, anywhere and at anytime.
New to the LG PuriCare line is the Wearable Air Purifier and Mini Air Purifier. The Wearable Air Purifier is designed for convenient, portable personal protection where ever you go. The Mini Air Purifier is lightweight and portable enough to be carried in your car, office and on-the-go travel.
TrueSteam technology can be found in their laundry appliances that are certified to reduce allergens, along with their dishwashers that are certified to sanitize and reduce water spots.
LG CordZero™ vacuums features five-step HEPA filtration, that captures 99.99% of dust and dirt.
2021 sees a new refrigerator with a Seamless InstaView design. The new flat panel door is sleek and has a clean design. The door-in-door tinted glass panel covers the entire door, making the window wider by 23%. The interior has new stainless steel interior panels that help maintain temperature, while LinearCooling™ and DoorCooling+™ helps keep food fresher and crisper for up to seven days. Also for the first time, advanced cleaning technology introduced in their water purifiers, is being incorporated in the water dispenser. UVnano technology refreshes the nozzle, eliminates bacteria with ultraviolet LED light.
The LG WashTower™ is a single unit tower with the washer on the bottom and dryer on the top. Convenient controls, built-in intelligence and advanced cleaning. This unit takes up half the space of a side-by-side unit and lets you reimagine your laundry room. The washer can handle ultra large loads as big as a full-size comforter. Built-in sensors using AI technology can detect fabric textures and load size to pick the right wash motions, drying temperatures and more for precision fabric care. The Allergiene Cycle is certified asthma and allergy friendly, and removes more than 95% of common household allergens from fabrics.
New for 2021 is the LG OLED evo, 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch televisions will be equipped with the α9 Gen 4 AI processor for better picture quality and sound. The WebOS Home Screen has been redesigned for faster access to the content that you want to watch, as well as easier access to discover new content based on the user’s preferences. The remote has been redesigned to be more ergonomic and customizable. Stadia and Twitch support will be available for gamers.
Launching in 2021 is the new LG QNED Mini LED, which feature Mini LED technology and ultra-large screen sizes. Advanced backlight array uses smaller LEDs to provide higher brightness and deeper blacks. These top of the line models will be available in both 4K and 8K series, in screen sizes from 65-inches to 86-inches.
The LG CLOi UV-C Robot can use its UV light to sanitize high-traffic spaces such as hotels, classrooms, restaurants, offices and more to reduce interactions with harmful germs. Advanced sensors and easy mapping functions enable autonomous navigation, so they can work room spaces on their own.
New for the home/office is the LG gram 14, LG gram 16 and LG gram 17 laptops. Ultra-light, thin, 17-inch precision display, with 16:10 aspect ratio. Fingerprint recognition for simultaneous startup and login. Intel® Evo™ Platform Powered by Intel® Core™ Processor. 80Wh battery. We got our sneak peek at the LG Rollable at the end of their press conference at Virtual CES. This is a smartphone with a rollable screen that expands to the size of a small tablet. The rollable design eliminates the crease that the foldable smartphones have in the center.
