Being an esthetician has made me love bath and body products.  Well actually I take that back I became an esthetician because of my love of bath and body products!  When Bill and I first moved in together one of our first arguments was over the amount of products in the shower.  He counted 13 different bottles in there one day…oops! After discovering “The Dirty Housewife” Soap Company I am afraid that we may need a bigger bathroom.

The Dirty Housewife was established in 2008 by Tanya Harris and was born from a lifelong love affair with the beauty industry. After studying Cosmetology and working in Atlanta for a number of years Tanya settled in New Hampshire to become a wife and mom. She began working in a natural food store where she learned many things.  She decided to combine both worlds and began making her own bath and body products using organic, local, and exotic ingredients that Tanya personally shops around for! “Each product is a work of art for me from the conception right down to the packaging delivered right to your door.”  The Dirty Housewife offers luxurious Bath and Body products with quality ingredients and creative and personal fragrances to indulge your skin and Spirit.  There are Handcrafted Artisan Soaps, Epicurean Dessert Soaps and Butter Whip Soaps, Sugar Scrubs, Bath Salts, Perfumes and Candles at very affordable prices and with great names!

Tanya sent me a Chocolate Mocha Sugar Scrub to sample.  She also included a “thank you” soap in cottage garden-smelled so good – and a sample of her blush artisan perfume. I could not wait to try the scrub. The smell of it was amazing!!  It was made from a blend of chocolate, coffee, hemp seed oil and sugar and it made my skin feel super smooth and smell so yummy!!  I left it in the shower (of course with everything else) and my teenage daughter, Kaleigh, used it too. We were both hooked on The Dirty Housewife!

The blush artisan perfume is made with Attar Rose, juicy coconuts and persimmons and the slightest hint of a woody herbal note. It is a great scent. I am not a big rose scent fan and I loved this. I love the fact that everything is scented with essential oils so you don’t get the “fake” perfumey smell.  It is a nice clean smell that doesn’t overpower.  I was so sad when my samples were gone that I had to order more. I ended up purchasing Cookie Puss Sugar Scrub (great packaging I love the sea shell scoop), Sex and Candy Whipped Soap, Mother’s Little Helper Roll on Perfume Oil and the Gentlemen’s Creed Artisan Perfume Oil (for Bill) I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love it all. Bill has always talked about getting a cologne but has never liked any that we find.  They are usually very strong.  The Gentlemen’s Creed is a blend of Mysore sandalwood, ambergris, violet leaves, French verbena, sweet pea, and Florentine iris and smells very manly!  We both really like the smell.  So now I have gotten Bill hooked on The Dirty Housewife as well!  I highly recommend that you check this company out!
