I’m adding more leafy greens to my family’s diet this year. My 4 year old is the pickiest eater on the planet (I swear), I wasn’t sure how I was going to do this. I began to research green smoothies online. I came across a bunch that sounded super yummy and then created this tasty green smoothie recipe. It is so easy and a perfect after school snack. You can name the drink whatever you like to get your kids to drink it (such as Princess Fiona Frappe, Oscar’s trash can delight) I chose to go with the Kermit themed name because of IT Mommy Tee’s LOVE of The Muppets.
- 1 bag frozen mixed tropical fruit (ours had bananas, strawberries, mangos, pineapple and papaya
- 3/4 cup of orange juice
- 1.5 handfuls of baby spinach
- 1 handful of stemmed kale
Add fruit, spinach and kale to the blender and mix until it is thin enough to enjoy through a straw. You can add more juice if needed. I really wasn’t sure if my daughter would drink this! But she LOVED it.

We blend our green smoothies daily. My four year old daughter loves her morning smoothie. We like to add a banana for sweetness and just use water. Love the pic of your daughter drinking a super green smoothie with two straws!
