Reuse In Style: Rouge Shopping Bag by Speights & Faron Review & Giveaway

When I’m at the market, I use reusable bags.  I jumped on that train years ago, and have seen the trend of the “store brand” bags followed by the bags of independent companies with more style.  I tend to stay away from the ones emblazoned with “Ralphs” or “Target” as after all, it’s just another expression of my personality.

I took the Rouge Shopping Bag, sold by Speights & Faron, out for a trial run.  No exaggeration–this bag was the talk of the store. I was stopped 3 times and even the cashier asked me about my cute new reusable bag during checkout. So, before you balk at the price point, know that you will likely be the talk of the shop !

The size (17.7 x 12.9 x7”) of this prolyprolene bag is perfect for a quick run to the market. I love that the bag is wider than it is tall. This meant I could distribute many lightweight items on top and didn’t have to worry about them getting smashed. And the design is AH-dorable. It has a different design on each side and is lined with hearts and includes a matching zippered purse that can be removed from the inside (via snap). The artwork is by by Mlle Héloïse for La Marelle Edtions.

The only problem I’ve had since it arrived is that my 3.5 year old daughter wishes to claim it as her own!  I put it to the test by putting some heavy items to see how it would hold up. I was able to fit everything below inside the bag, with plenty of room to spare.
