As a Physical Therapist, I value comfort and design in not just my own shoes, but my kid’s as well. Well made shoes, with flexible soles are so important in keeping growing feet healthy. I”ve always been a fan of Umi Shoes, and they recently sent us their Arabella shoe for review.
This shoe features Microsuede details and has a hook and loop closure. This makes them very easy for my almost 4-year-old to put on and take off on her own. From the standpoint of developing feet, the soles of these shoes are flexible and they are wide through the toes (the toe box). These are very important qualities to look for in kids’ shoes! And as a mom, I love that these are easy to clean. When they would get dirt on them, I just brushed either my hand or a baby wipe across them and voila…they were as good as new!
I love that most of Umi’s shoes look great with dresses but are also appropriate for the playground. The Arabella shoes are perfectly girly and great for Spring and Summer! I wish they made a grown-up version for me.
I love that Umi cares not just for the little feet in our lives, but for the earth as well. They set their standards sky-high, testing each shoe for safety, durability and using only child-safe materials. They use only non-toxic drum-dyed leathers and other environmentally friendly components and using recycled packaging. Umi is also huge on customer service. I love that they have free shipping and free returns on all orders. This gives me a lot of confidence in ordering with them!
