I love finding new places for our family to explore. There is an endless amount of attractions to visit in LA and in California! But sometimes it’s nice just hanging with friends and eating! Teagan and I were invited on a lunch play date. What was different? We were going to make our own pasta with a pasta machine. To get ready, our new friend prepared the dough and also prepared pasta sauce and rolls.
The girls were distracted with playtime but eventually came around for their turn at the pasta machine. They turned the crank and helped created uneven lengths of pasta! The girls helped hang the pieces. Cooking is a fun way to teach teamwork! And also for kids to participate and eat what they create!
Don’t be afraid to let the kids help out the kitchen. I’ve learned that even the smallest kid wants to participate and they love making their parents happy.
YUM! The best part is eating! Especially eating something we created. Thanks Karen and Dani! I can’t wait for our next cooking date.

Wow!! What an experience! That’s pretty cool-and probably something they will remember for a long time!

This sounds like something my daughter would enjoy doing with her daughter. She likes to help mommy in the kitchen. She’s been helping load the dishwasher since she was 3.
