Teagan wears a variety of clothes. Some days it’s jeans and t-shirts other days it’s a colorful, comfortable dress. Girls have the luxury of fashionable options! Clothes can match a girl’s mood and most girls just wanna have fun! And Little Pea clothing is just that – fun and girly.
Sara McMahon founded Little Pea. She has two daughters and wanted styles that transitioned from school, to the playground and to that party! Functionality doesn’t mean boring! Her styles are bright, young, soft and fresh.
Teagan received the Byronie Dress (named after one of Sara’s daughters). The dress is 100% cotton and made in the USA. The A line style is feminine, petite and roomy! Teagan didn’t have a problem pulling the dress over head. Unlike some other articles of clothing that get stuck on her head! The frame of the dress gives my physical girl freedom to move! The ruffle pockets are sweet. Pockets are a must have for little ones. Teagan is always stuffing something into her pockets. The comfortable dress is a perfect fit and Teagan refers to it as her princess dress and twirls in it!
Not only does Little Pea offer adorable dresses but they also offer mix and match coordinates. Sara designed the line and chose all the fabrics and trims. My favorite fabrics in her line are the Aqua Floral and Denim. The pricing is comparable to other boutique lines. Clothes range from $38-$58.00.
Little Pea is offering That’s It Mommy readers a 25% discount. Use FAN25 upon checkout. Code expires July 1, 2010. Sara is currently working on Little Pea’s Fall production! I can’t wait to see what she has in store.

We asked Sara of Little Pea a couple of questions about her life as a mom and business owner….
What do you love about your mom?
Her generosity! My mother must be one of the most generous people I know, always there to lend a helping hand wether it be making gift baskets for charitable raffles, planning a colleague’s baby shower, or even just lending a listening ear. It’s quite the honorable trait and I truly admire her for it! Love you mom!
Honestly, the constant cuddles and unconditional love – they’re the best!! On a more serious not, being a mother is the most fulfilling and amazing job I could ever ask for. Each and every day my actions and the examples I set play a part in molding who these two beautiful little girl’s will become. It’s a hefty job for sure but one that I can say I am most proud of!! In return, they teach me to appreciate the simple pleasures in life (smelling flowers, seeing ladybugs and fluffy clouds) they remind me to slow down and appreciate all that life has to offer.
Hands down, my dad! He himself is an entrepreneur and has spent the last 25 years building a successful business! I admire his strength, tenacity, and gumption – as well as his ability to reinvent himself which has enabled him to weather the ebbs and flows of his industry. I constantly look to him for inspiration and advice and will always live by his mantra that with hard work, determination, and a little luck you will always achieve your goals!
It’s a leap of faith but worth every challenge. I think it’s easy to come up with reasons why you shouldn’t – the start up costs, unknown challenges, time; however, regardless of the outcome the lessons learned in the process of developing and growing a start up are invaluable. I’d also say, once you get started don’t stay so focused on where you want to take your company. Remember to savor the small successes and take the time to remember where you started.
