Since our last visit to the Los Angeles Zoo in October my kiddos have been constantly asking to go back! And what better time than the LA Zoo Reindeer Romp. The Los Angeles Zoo is in full holiday mode. We were so excited to see the decorations through the park and made our way to the Eucalyptus Grove and the Reindeer Village. There we met Jingle, Belle, Noel, and Velvet, some of Santa’s Reindeer! The kids got to hear about the reindeer from the knowledgeable zoo keeper. Then off to the crafting station to decorated antlers for the kids to wear around the park.
We were blown away by the ice sculptors creating an icy masterpiece out of a simple block of ice. Then off to Santa’s Village to visit Santa and tell him all of our Christmas wishes. It was so great to actually take care of the Santa picture while we were at the zoo! Then off we went to explore the rest of the zoo and and see all the kids’ favorite animals. Even the zoo animals get to open their Christmas presents early! We got to see the elephants open their present, and every weekend visitors get to watch different animals open their presents. It was a festive day spent at the Los Angeles Zoo!

Weekend Romp Activities include:
Take a family holiday portrait with Santa in his enchanting Santa’s Village set. Photos are available for purchase. Santa is visiting the Zoo from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on weekends and Dec 21–23.
Crafting table where you and the kids can create your own reindeer antlers Reindeer keeper talks take place every Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. & 2 p.m.
Saturdays (only)
Festive ice carving demonstrations from 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Live entertainment at the Snowflake Stage
The Other Reindeer Carolers will sing your favorite traditional holiday tunes from 2–4 p.m.
Sundays (only)
Holiday Extravaganza puppet show* at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.
Performances by the 1950s-style singing group, the Satin Dollz at 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m.
Reindeer Romp is going on now through January 3rd from 10-4 daily and additional activities on the weekend. Santa is available weekends from 11-3 through December 23rd. For a late night adventure through the zoo be sure to also check out LA Zoo Lights going on now through January 3rd.
