Being a (former)beauty professional means that I love trying new beauty products. I try to stay on top of the trends and share them with you. OPI is my very favorite nail polish and I was very lucky to be able to preview their brand new collections! This summer the IT color for manicures and pedicures is anything pink! OPI limited edition Summer 2011 collection is called Nice Stems and it consists of four new nail laquers in stunning shades of pink. “These vibrant, feminine hues complement 60’s ladylike fashions, 70’s glam looks, and bold color-blocking, which are the season’s staples,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director.
As always the collection features whimsical names for each flower inspired polish.

Play the Peonies: Is the perfect light pink with a hint of shimmer. It brings to mind Twiggy and the mod fashion.
Come To Poppy: This coral pink is perfect for digging your toes in the sand.
Be a Dahlia Won’t You? This bright fuschia is a great pink, fun for day or night!
I Lily Love You: The perfect sparkle top coat adds different sized sparkles to add a great effect to to any of the colors or worn alone just gives you a bit of glitter!
My daughters and I had a great time playing experimenting with multiple color combinations for manicures and pedicures. My favorite look was the Be a Dahlia Won’t You? topped with I Lily Love You glitter coat! So many people commented on my pedicure and wanted to know what the color was. These Pinks are a MUST have for summer!
Also just released is the third installment of the Serena Williams color collection. “Grand Slam! England’ features two duo packs, the first with ‘Grape…Set…Match’ – a vivid shimmery purple along with ‘Serving Up Sparkle’ – a stunning topcoat filled with silver & holographic glitter, and the second set which consists of ‘Your Royal Shine-ness’ – a gleaming silver foil polish paired with the same Serving up Sparkle. The purple is such a nice deep purple-think the color of a king’s velvet cape in a fairytale. Paired with the silver sparkle this is dazzling combination! The silver shines just like I would imagine the royal tea set. It is sparkly on it’s own but paired with the sparkle it is a perfect night out polish combo!
