What did we think?
We haven’t introduced the Easter Bunny to Teagan. This DVD doesn’t touch on “Easter” as the holiday. Instead it focuses on finding bunnies! Kids love Easter egg hunts and this DVD is more about finding clues, exploring and investigating. You also meet Mother Goose and other fairy tale characters. Teagan enjoys Barney. She occasionally watches him at day care. She likes the songs that are sung by the child actors. This was actually the first time I’ve sat down and watched an entire episode. I like that Barney explores and encourages imagination and caring. Any show that gets kids moving and thinking with a positive message is okay by me. I do have to say that Barney isn’t my favorite children’s TV character. But again, how I can say anything negative about a character that embraces love? The costumes are attractive and colorful and everyone is of course happy! =) There’s also a nice lesson on taking care of pets. The only true Easter element is an Egg hunt game in the extras. This DVD would be fine to watch year round not just around the Easter Holiday.
